About 8 miles from Underwood, one of the quickest areas for us to reach.
Mansfield is close enough to our Underwood base that it is often the easiest call of the day to fit in, roughly 8 miles, with no motorway needed. We cover the town itself along with Mansfield Woodhouse, Forest Town, Rainworth, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and the villages between, all of which sit on our regular route.
The building stock across Mansfield tells the story of the coalfield: Victorian and Edwardian terraces built for pit families, large inter-war and post-war council-built estates, 1960s and 70s semis, and newer development filling in around the edges. Solid-wall terraces and ex-local-authority housing both carry recognisable heating problems, and both benefit from an engineer who has worked on hundreds of them rather than one guessing at the pipework.
Proximity matters most when something breaks. Breakdown calls to Mansfield get a same or next-day visit wherever the diary allows, inside our opening hours of Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:30pm and Saturday 8:30am to 12:00pm. Short travel also keeps second visits practical, if a part needs ordering, coming back is not a logistical problem.
As everywhere, our Mansfield work is domestic only: private homes, flats and rental property, including landlord gas safety certificates from £85 + VAT carried out with a service.
